Cosplaying can be a daunting hobby, especially when having to dress up, be in character, and have a lot of people staring at you. Instead of throwing away the idea altogether, you can always drag another person to cosplay together with you. That way, you can have fun together and at the same time, have another person to rely on to reduce the awkwardness of being in costume. You can ask your best friend, your partner, or your sibling to cosplay with you. Here are some fun pairings you can choose from when planning your upcoming Halloween party costumes!

DC Couple: Batman x Catwoman

The classic of all classics. This is one of the most popular superhero paired cosplay for couples. There are so many versions of Batman and Catwoman costumes that you have a plethora of styles to choose from to suit your aesthetics. You can choose to follow the cartoon, comic, game, or movie versions, and that too has its own versions to choose from.

The choice to have props is all up to you. If you are a beginner, you might want to go without props and instead focus on refining your entire costume and your poses. Even without props, you will need to be meticulous with your costume fitting, shoes, and the variety of accessories. In fact, these two characters have quite a number of on-body accessories.

For these two cosplays, you don’t really need a wig, however, you might want to get blue contacts or whiteout contact lenses for Batman’s eyes. As for Catwoman, you can choose to get green contact lenses or cat-eye contacts if you’re feeling more adventurous.

DC Villains: Joker x Harley Quinn

Bored of playing superhero? How about being a pair of deranged villains? Just like Batman and Catwoman cosplays, there are many iterations of Joker and Harley Quinn. Not only are there different comic book versions, there are also cartoon versions and movie versions. The key point to these characters is the makeup. To ensure that your cosplay makeup is on point, you might want to do some makeup tests before debuting your cosplay.

There are also some details you might want to bear in mind. One of them is the wigs for both the male and female cosplay. For Joker’s wig, you can choose to style it yourself or buy a pre-styled one, however if you’re styling it yourself, you need a bit of skill and a whole lot of hairspray.

As for Harley Quinn, you can also choose to purchase a pre-styled and pre-dyed wig, or if you’re feeling up to it, you can dye it yourself. Whichever one you choose is fine, as long as you start doing it way before your debut just in case it doesn’t turn out the way you want it to, and you need to purchase another one for it to arrive on time.

Demon Slayer: Tanjiro x Nezuko

If you want to find a cosplay pair that isn’t a lovey-dovey couple, you might want to cosplay as siblings. This sibling pair is really quite popular now, and if you haven’t watched Demon Slayer, then you should go take a look. That way, you can also understand how to portray the characters as accurately as possible.

The costumes for both Tanjiro and Nezuko aren't particularly complicated and can be bought online. There are cosplay wigs and contact lenses available for them too. Tanjiro has red eyes while Nezuko has light pink cat-like eyes. There is also quite a bit of makeup needed for Tanjiro’s scar.

The most challenging for Nezuko cosplay in particular is the prop that needs to be placed in her mouth and tied around her neck. You don’t really have to bite it like how the character does, but it does need to cover your mouth. You should practice doing that to find the most comfortable way to do it - or you can just put it in place when getting your photo taken. Another option is to get fangs for Nezuko so you can go without the mouthpiece. As for Tanjiro, he has some other accessories to be looked into, particularly his earrings, and a katana prop.

Naruto/Boruto: Naruto x Hinata

Don’t want to wear complicated costumes? You can always go for the classic Naruto x Hinata pair. This pairing is lovable, easily recognized and easy to find costumes for. Although the costume looks easy and simple, don’t forget the little details like Hinata’s byakugan eyes, Naruto’s ‘whisker’ lines, and both their Konoha headband.

There are basically 2 versions of Naruto x Hinata characters; when they are younger like in Naruto Shippuden, and when they are married as shown in Boruto. Both young and older Naruto’s hairstyle is almost the same, however, for Hinata, she tied up her hair when younger and long straight hair after she got married. The costumes are also different since Naruto has become a Hokage as an adult.

If you want to play around with props, generally they both use ninja-type weapons like the kunai and shurikens. To get more ideas, you can check out other cosplayer’s styles, or just watch the anime for some inspiration.
