Buying contact lenses online is super convenient and cost-effective. We have the perfect type of color contacts to help you instantly achieve a new look and complement your make-up. Surprise everyone by wearing our bewitching contact lenses in different hues and colors.

Guide to Choose Coloured Contact Lenses

If you've ever thought about improving your look with a pair of colored contact lenses, there's no better time than the present to give your eyes a fresh spark. Like a new hairstyle, a pair of color contact lenses for eye can totally change your entire look in just a few seconds. In fact, they can also be removed at a moment's notice.

Whether they're your signature look on Halloween or just a way to spice up that special night out, coloured contacts can be a hallmark accessory. The impact can range from a "what did you do?" to one of those freaky, wild and bewildering looks, depending on what color and design you decide to go with.

From a dramatic color change to wild patterns and out-of-this-world looks, fake contact lenses can be as daring as you want. Moreover, you can even mix and match them for a bolder look.

Are Colored Contacts Safe?

Like normal contacts, non-prescription coloured contact lenses are real medical devices. They go in your eye, and a lens fitting is recommended for anyone considering augmenting their look with colored lenses. And just like regular contacts, you'll need to take special precautions to ensure that you don't injure your eyes.

To start, you'll have to learn how to safely insert the contacts into your eyes, as well as when and how to clean them. Unlike prescription contacts, color contact lenses don't have as much breathability as normal contacts, so you won't be able to leave them in overnight.

But as long as you understand what you can and can't do with colored eye contacts, you should have no problem wearing them when you want to punch up your eyes.

What Are the Different Colored Contact Lenses?

Colored eye contact lenses range from subtle enhancement tints to wild patterns and colors that dramatically change your look. An enhancement tint is best for those looking to bring out more of their natural color, and is subtle enough to not be distracting. These kinds of contact lens are perfect for cosmetic purposes.

More vivid tints are all about that eye-catching color. They're typically brighter and more vibrant than enhancement tints. So-called "circle" lenses are meant to enhance the size of your pupil, giving you a "doll's eye" or "limbal ring" and they only have color on the outermost edge.

The last type is a color contact lens for special events, cosplay or any other time you want to make your eyes a focal point. Their striking patterns, vibrancy and unbelievable looks will leave no doubt that you're ready to party, such as cat eye, heart eye, dragon eye and etc.

Non-prescription/Plano contact lenses do not correct vision impairment but are only meant to accentuate your eyes to be even more stunning. They add an alluring pop while ensuring an overall enticing appearance.

What Are Toric And Non-Toric Contacts?

A toric contact lens is specially designed for people who have astigmatism. Astigmatism is a condition where the curve of the eyes is imperfect and causes blurred sights. This condition often comes with nearsightedness or farsightedness. For those who have normal eye conditions, opt for non-toric contacts instead.

Toric contact lens is usually thicker and larger than non-toric contacts. Some of them even have weight at the bottom of the lens to keep it in the correct position and to avoid it from rotating around.

Since toric contacts have particular horizontal and vertical axes, it is important for you to get the right correction and fit for your eyes. Once you get the right fitting, you can choose your preferred colored contacts prescription power from Uniqso using the toric conversion formula. Check here.

What Does Water Content On Color Contacts Mean?

Water content is one of the most important criteria in choosing your coloured contacts. The water content is usually denoted in percentage from 38% to 70% water. The higher the water content in your contact lens, the higher oxygen can pass through the lens to your eyes.

Higher water content in your contact lens allows your eyes to breathe with comfort for a longer time. However, there is a catch. A higher water content contact lens will draw out the eye’s tear to prevent it from becoming dehydrated. So, if you have dry eyes, wearing a high water content contact lens may worsen your eye condition.

How Long Can You Wear Your Color Contact Lens?

Disposable color contact lens comes in daily, monthly, 3 months, 6 months and 12 months designs. You should replace your contact lens according to your disposable replacement schedule. Avoid sleeping in with your contact lens.

How To Choose Your Colored Contacts Diameter?

What is the diameter of a contact lens? It is the width of the lens from one side to the other side in a straight line. It is indicated in millimeters, usually between 12mm to 15 mm.

What will happen if you choose colored contacts with the wrong diameter? Wearing a smaller diameter contact lens will cause you discomfort. On the other hand, if the diameter is too wide, the contact lens may slip out of place.

How To Know You Are Getting The Right Coloured Contacts?

If you are unsure which type, water content, disposable period and diameter of color contacts are right for you, always refer to your eye doctor. With the right consultation and fitting, you will find the best contact lens that fit your eyes.
